Ben Graves

Ben Graves is a tenured Associate Professor of Music at Volunteer State Community College, a position held since August 2012, with previous responsibilities as Chair of Performing Arts from 2016 to 2021. Graves also has extensive experience as a musician with Little Firecracker Music, recognized for a diverse musical background rooted in Northwest Tennessee. Additional academic roles include adjunct professorships at Tennessee State University and Solano Community College, as well as serving as a music analyst and one of the first employees at Pandora during the development of the Music Genome Project. Graves holds a B.A. in Music from Wesleyan University, attended Berklee College of Music, and earned a Master of Arts in Music from Washington State University.
