Michel Kahan

Michel Kahan is the President of Syntec Ingenierie, a role held since 2023. They previously held leadership roles at SETEC, including Group Chairman & CEO in 2016, Chief Executive Officer of setec tpi (2010–2013), and Senior Project Manager at SETEC Industries (2005–2008). Earlier in their career, they served as Head of the Department of New Infrastructures at the Department of Transportation and Infrastructures (2000–2005), a Bridge Designer at SETRA (1996–2000), and a Field Engineer at Solétanche (1990–1991). Their education includes a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1991–1992), an Ingénieur degree in Génie civil and an Ingénieur degree in Sciences de l'ingénieur from the École nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (1989–1992; 1992–1996), a PhD in Civil Engineering – structural dynamics from ENPC (1992–1996), and INSEAD programs in 2014–2015 and 2017.
