Komal Chag

Komal Chag began their professional career in 2008 as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Plasma Research, where they created an ultra-fast interlock protection scheme for radio frequency devices used in plasma tokamak reactors. Komal then joined Tata Consultancy Services as an Assistant Systems Engineer, where they were trained in Java, Oracle, and Business Intelligence and Performance Management. In 2009, Komal Chag worked as an Internet Media Developer at the Illinois Institute of Technology and as a Research/Projects employee at Radio over IP (RoIP). At RoIP, they set up a test bed to enable two-way radio systems to communicate with each other. Komal Chag then joined MMPI as an IT/Business Applications Intern, where they updated web pages and web applications using Cold Fusion Coding and .Net. In 2010, they worked as a Software Quality Engineer and a System Software Quality Test Intern at Motorola Mobility, where they performed KPI and KSP testing for CDMA, GSM, and LTE based mobile devices. Finally, Komal Chag worked as a Quality Assurance Analyst at Morningstar from 2011 to 2013. There, they created, maintained, and executed test plan documentation and scripts for testing of Morningstar Investment Services website, as well as executed automated and scenario based testing on multiple platforms. In 2013, they joined SettlementOne Valuation as a Business Analyst/Software Test Engineer, where they developed and implemented strategic Software Testing Methodology, directed software testing and validation procedures, and planned, designed, developed, and tracked software design requirements for financial services applications.

Komal Chag received their MS in Information Technology and Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology between 2009 and 2011. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from the Nirma Institute of Technology between 2004 and 2008. Additionally, they obtained their Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance in December 2021 and their Claritas CFA certification in April 2013.
