John Gradwell

John Gradwell has over 15 years of experience in the field of structural engineering. John started their career in 2005 as a Consulting Engineer at The Rutter Johnson Partnership. John then moved on to Watson Steel Structures Ltd in 2006, where they served as a Chartered Structural Engineer for 7 years. At Watson Steel Structures Ltd, they were responsible for the development of complex construction schemes, bridge launch engineering, and design of challenging structures in all materials. In 2013, John joined Laing O'Rourke as a Structural Engineer, where they worked until 2016. Since 2016, they have been with Severfield, initially serving as a Principal Engineer and currently holding the position of Group R&D Director.

John Gradwell earned their MA and MEng degrees in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. John later pursued a Master's degree in Construction Engineering from the same university between 2011 and 2013.
