Simon Atherton

Simon Atherton is an experienced Divisional SHE Manager with over 15 years at Severfield, the UK’s largest structural steelwork fabrication company, where responsibilities include overseeing health, safety, wellbeing, and environmental management for two manufacturing facilities and various UK construction sites. Simon Atherton leads a team of five and conducts site and factory audits, focusing on COSHH, waste management, and emergency preparedness. Prior experience includes a role as Health and Safety Facilitator at Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Ltd. Simon Atherton holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology from The University of Bolton, obtained between 1994 and 1997.
