Maxim Surmaev has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, beginning as a Reservoir Engineering intern at Lukoil Overseas Holding Ltd in 2008. Subsequently, Maxim held various roles including Technologist at TPC Kogalymneftegaz and Senior Reservoir Engineer at LUKOIL, where responsibilities included production capacity assessment and expert reviews of field development documents. Maxim transitioned to strategic roles, serving as Business Strategist at Tatneft and Strategic Project Manager at SINTEZ & PROMCHIM group, focusing on business development and strategy in petrochemicals. Currently, Maxim is a Senior Project Manager at Severstal and is pursuing advanced expertise in company capital management and petroleum engineering, holding a Master’s degree from the Russian Economic University and a degree in Reservoir and Petroleum Engineering from Gubkin University.
