Derek Barnes

Derek Barnes has extensive experience in the automotive industry, currently serving in multiple roles, including Recruiting and Associate Development at Sewell Automotive Companies since July 2018. Previously, Derek held various positions at Sewell, including Sales Associate, Finance Manager, and Assistant Service Manager. In the realm of leadership, Derek was the Consul (President) and Recruitment Chair for the Delta Mu Chapter of Sigma Chi at Southern Methodist University from May 2015 to April 2018. Additionally, Derek contributed as the VP of Public Relations & Media for the SMU Interfraternity Council and gained marketing experience as a Marketing Intern at Park Place Dealerships. Derek earned a Bachelor of Arts in Markets and Culture, with a focus on Marketing/Advertising from Southern Methodist University, following a high school education at The McCallie School.
