Chad Smith

Chad Smith is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in engineering and business systems management. Currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Sezzle since July 2021, Chad has directed over 30 engineers to develop shopper product features using micro-services and front-end technologies. Prior roles include Sr. Manager of Business Systems and Sr. Manager of Engineering at Blackhawk Network, where Chad led teams to create compliant payment solutions and significantly increased revenue through innovative product development. Previous experience encompasses leadership positions in software development and engineering at organizations such as GiftCards.com and ScienceLogic, along with foundational roles as a founder of two companies. Chad holds an MBA in Marketing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from DeVry University.
