Yaba Holst

Yaba Holst has a diverse work experience in the film and theater industry. Yaba has worked as Head of Nordic Acquisition at SF Studios, where they were responsible for acquiring Nordic content for distribution and co-production. Before that, they worked as a Feature film Commissioner at the Swedish Film Institute, assessing and supporting feature films, market schemes, and international minor co-productions. Prior to that, they were a Senior Executive for Swedish Co-productions at Film I Väst, where they evaluated and developed feature films, serials, and talent development projects. Yaba also has experience as a script consultant/reader, script writer, and script supervisor. Additionally, they have worked as an actress in film and television and as a theatre director and producer at Svenska Teatern. Yaba also has experience in production coordination and creative analysis. Yaba Holst has a deep understanding of the film and theatre industry and a wide range of expertise in various roles.

Yaba Holst received a Master of Arts degree in Drama and Dramatics/Theatre Arts, General from the University of the Arts Helsinki, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, Yaba attended Kungsholmens Gymnasium from 1987 to 1989, studying Social Science.
