Laura Feinstein

Director, Resilient Landscapes Program at San Francisco Estuary Institute

Laura Feinstein currently serves as the Director of the Resilient Landscapes Program at the San Francisco Estuary Institute, a position held since April 2024. Prior experience includes serving as the Sustainability and Resilience Policy Director at SPUR, where the focus was on climate change mitigation and resilience initiatives for the San Francisco Bay Area from August 2020 to April 2024. Feinstein also worked as a Senior Researcher at the Pacific Institute from April 2016 to August 2020, managing projects related to sustainable water management in California and engaging in community education on water issues. Previous roles include Project Manager and Research Scientist at the California Council on Science and Technology, Science and Technology Policy Fellow for the California State Senate, and Director of the Technology Leadership Program at GirlSource. Feinstein holds a Ph.D. in Ecology from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley.
