Michael Axtell is the Founder and Creative Director of Dreaming Monk Productions, a company that specializes in video production with a focus on the humanities, including social impact documentaries and branded content. Michael also serves as a Producer and Production Manager at AboveGrey Pictures, where the project "Pancakes" received the HollyShorts "Best Commercial Award." In addition, Michael has directed and produced the documentary "Nyogon: Together" under SFFILM and has extensive experience in education, having taught English as a Second Language at various institutions. Michael has coached the Boys Varsity Tennis Team at Lick-Wilmerding High School for 12 seasons and has previously worked in diverse roles including a tennis professional and a producer for SF Urban Film Fest. Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from UC Santa Barbara and a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from San Francisco State University.
