Lars Balzer

Lars Balzer is a Professor and Head of the Evaluation Unit at the Swiss Federal University for Vocational Education and Training, a position held since December 2017, following a similar role at SFIVET from January 2009 to December 2017. Balzer has served as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Johannesburg's Faculty of Education between September 2014 and September 2016 and has extensive experience as a lecturer in evaluation, diagnostics, social science research methods, and statistics across multiple institutions in Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, South Africa, and Cambodia since 2001. Balzer's educational background includes a Diploma and a Dr. phil. in Psychology from the University of Koblenz and Landau, as well as certificates in Adult Learning and Vocational Education and Training.
