Sonja Engelage has extensive experience in academia and media, with a career spanning from 1999 to the present. Starting as a Videojournalistin at TeleBielingue from 1999 to 2002, Sonja transitioned into academia, serving as Wissenschaftliche Assistentin at Universität Bern from 2004 to 2010 and later as Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiterin at Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz FHNW from 2010 to 2014. Since 2014, Sonja has held the position of Senior Researcher at Eidgenössische Hochschule für Berufsbildung EHB HEFP SUFFP SFUVET. Sonja holds a Dr. in Bildungssoziologie, summa cum laude, from Universität Bern and has completed a Lic. Phil. in Pädagogische Psychologie, Allgemeine Pädagogik, and Medienwissenschaft from the same university, along with a Vordiplom in Pädagogik from Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz.
