Joshua Aaker

Joshua Aaker is a Senior Director at Sg2, with a robust background in neurobiology research and education. At Sg2 since November 2016, Joshua has served in various leadership roles, transitioning from Senior Consultant to Director. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at the University of Chicago from 2009 to 2016, where Joshua designed an impactful study on the protein ZFP191 in multiple sclerosis and published a thesis on oligodendrocyte maturation. Joshua's academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Biology from Macalester College, complemented by international study in Comparative Healthcare Economics. Prior to the University of Chicago, Joshua held research and teaching positions at the University of Minnesota and Macalester College, contributing to numerous manuscripts and spearheading innovative research methodologies in the field.
