Michael Stephens

Michael Stephens, AIA, NCARB, serves as a Managing Partner at SGH Architects since February 2018, contributing to a firm known for its diverse experience and commitment to exceptional client service. Prior to this role, Michael was a Principal at DLR Group from May 2012 to February 2018, where extensive design expertise was applied across various sectors including civic, education, and hospitality. Michael's leadership experience includes serving as President and Vice President of the American Institute of Architects: Inland California from January 2016 to December 2017, as well as being a Principal at MJS:architecture from March 2005 to January 2017. Previous positions include Director of Construction at Riverside Community College District, Project Manager at BEC, Inc., and Senior Project Architect/Associate at HMC Architects. Michael began the professional journey as a Draftsperson at The Gutierrez Partnership and holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
