Ben Kosbab

Ben Kosbab, PhD, PE, is a Senior Principal at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger since September 2019, with prior experience as Principal Engineer at SC Solutions, where responsibilities included leadership in the Structural Engineering Division and nuclear facility expertise. Kosbab also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer for an Earthquake Engineering course at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where Ben has been since January 2023. Previous positions include Civil/Structural Lead Engineer at Enercon Services, providing seismic engineering solutions for the nuclear power industry, and Associate Engineer I at Fluor, contributing to offshore structural engineering projects. Kosbab holds a PhD and MS in Structural Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS in Civil Engineering from Rice University.
