Fred Grant

Fred Grant is a highly experienced professional in the field of structural engineering, currently serving as a Principal at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger since August 2005. With expertise in probabilistic structural mechanics, structural dynamics, seismic evaluations, and project management, Fred has held several key positions within the company, including Senior Project Manager and Senior Staff II, focusing on seismic fragility evaluations and technical writing. Prior to joining SGH, Fred operated Expert Fence Repair as a Sole Proprietor, managing all business aspects. Fred holds a Master of Science in Engineering with a specialization in Mechanics of Structures from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on Materials Science & Engineering, from the University of California, Berkeley.
