Julia Hogroian

Julia Hogroian is a Senior Consulting Engineer at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, having progressed through multiple roles since July 2017. Previously, Julia gained valuable experience through internships with leading organizations including AECOM, where engineering research and safety standards were a focus, and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, which involved site monitoring and project control reporting. Julia's academic background includes a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where research on life cycle carbon emissions and embodied carbon in building designs was conducted. Julia also contributed to research presented at international symposiums and has worked on environmental initiatives in wastewater management.
