Mark Webster

Mark Webster is a seasoned professional in structural engineering with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently a Senior Consulting Engineer at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc. since 1998, Mark has also played a pivotal role in various sustainability initiatives, including serving as a Founding Member and Former Co-Chair of the SEI Sustainability Committee, and as Chair of the Carbon Working Group, where a significant technical report on climate change and building structures was recently published. In addition to past leadership positions with the U.S. Green Building Council, Mark holds degrees in Structural Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA in Sociology & Anthropology from Haverford College.
