Sofia de Brito has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Sofia started their professional career in 1992 as part of an Investigation Team at Universidade de Aveiro. Sofia then worked as a Teaching Assistant at the same institution before joining Direção Geral do Ambiente as a Consultant in 1998. In 2000, Sofia became a Senior Consultant at AMBI 22 and remained in that role until 2012. From 1994 to 2002, they also worked as a Consultant at SEIA - Sociedade de Engenharia e Inovação Ambiental. Sofia joined Egas Moniz Cooperativa de Ensino Superior in 2003 as a Trainer and held that position until 2013. Sofia then joined SGS as a Lead Auditor in 2001 and is currently working at DBV Consulting as a Manager, starting in 2013.
Sofia de Brito pursued a Licentiate degree in Environmental Engineering from 1987 to 1992 at Universidade de Aveiro. Following this, they completed a Postgraduate program in Sanitary Engineering at Universidade Nova de Lisboa from 1994 to 1995.
