Josh "Skull" Dixon is a seasoned storyboard artist, animator, and character designer with extensive experience in the animation industry. Currently serving as a storyboard artist at ShadowMachine since February 2023, Dixon previously held various roles including freelance story artist and animator since February 2018 and worked at Flickerlab from May 2019 to January 2023. Notable projects include animation for the Simpsons Parody and Gridiron Heights series, as well as storyboarding for the Ted Lasso stop-motion short. Dixon's background encompasses work with multiple companies where Josh "skull" contributed to animated series and commercials, building a strong foundation in media arts and animation with a BFA from The Art Institutes.

Established in 1999 by Alexander Bulkley and Corey Campodonico, ShadowMachine is an Emmy Award® winning studio, home to cutting edge creative talent in animation for film, television, commercials and music videos. Since its early days producing the acclaimed stop-motion animation show Robot Chicken, ShadowMachine has become a Television mainstay. The company has produced Moral Orel, Mary Shelley’s Frankenhole and Titan Maximum, all for Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, as well as the critically acclaimed and BoJack Horseman for Netflix which wrapped its 6th and final season in 2020. ShadowMachine is currently in production on Season 3 of Final Space for Conaco & TBS, Season 1 of Ten Year Old Tom for HBO and Season 2 of Tuca & Bertie for Adult Swim. On the Feature Film front, ShadowMachine is currently in production on Pinocchio, a stop-motion animated feature film directed by Guillermo del Toro.
