James McCarter

James McCarter has substantial work experience in threat intelligence, information operations, and linguistics. James served as the CEO for Shadowscape and was the Director of Threat Intelligence for root9B. Prior to their more recent roles, they were President/Owner of 76 Technologies, LLC and an Information Operations Technician for NEK Advanced Securities Group, Inc. James started their career as a Sergeant and Cryptologic Linguist in the United States Marine Corps.

James McCarter holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior College. James also obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Korean from Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in 2006 and an Associate of Science degree in Engineering Track from Pikes Peak Community College, but the dates are unknown. James has multiple certifications, including CCLO, CCPA, ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, and CompTIA certifications. James also completed training programs in cybersecurity, computer forensics, and digital investigation from Champlain College and obtained various other certifications from different institutions such as ADF Solutions, Inc., Cross Match Technologies, and BlackBag Technologies, Inc.
