Shakthisree Gopalan is an award-winning musician, interdisciplinary artist, and architect–designer whose work spans playback singing, independent music, immersive installations, and new media art.

With over 150 recorded songs across Indian cinema and collaborations with Oscar- and Grammy-winning composer A.R. Rahman, her voice has reached millions worldwide. She debuted as music director for the Netflix film Test (2025), creating a full-length soundtrack and background score in collaboration with international artists and ensembles.

Beyond her recording and performance career, Shakthisree is the creator of Sound Garden, an evolving immersive project that merges sound, spatial design, and technology to explore human connection. 

Holding a Master’s in Creative Media & Technology (Berklee NYC) and a Bachelor of Architecture (School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University), she works globally at the intersection of sound, space, and innovation.
