Lead Manufacturing Engineer at Shape

Chris Prince has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Chris started their career as a Machine Designer at Superior Concepts from 1997 to 2001, where they conceptualized and designed machinery and gauges for different industries. From 2001 to 2004, they worked as a Project Engineer at Midwest Technology, developing equipment and internal engineering standards. Later, they joined Mahle as a Tool Design Specialist from 2004 to 2007, where they designed cutting tools and equipment for piston ring manufacturing. Chris then worked at GE Energy as a Manufacturing Engineer from 2007 to 2012, managing the installation of thin film deposition equipment and developing test plans. Chris continued their career at Engine Power Components as a Manufacturing Engineer from 2012 to 2014, where they performed feasibility studies, designed tooling, and created process flows. Currently, Chris is working at Shape Corp since 2014. Chris has held various roles, including Aluminum Launch Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer II in the EV Strategic Team, and currently serves as the Lead Manufacturing Engineer.

Chris Prince attended Baker College Business and Corporate Services from 1994 to 1996, where they earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Drafting and Design.
