Jason Balzer

Jason Balzer has over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on body structures and engineering. Jason is currently the NA Engineering Director at Shape Corp., where they oversee product engineering and manages various departments. Prior to this, Jason worked at Ford Motor Company for several years in various roles, including Vehicle Structures Technical Leader and Global Core Manager, Body Structures Technical Leader and Global Core Manager, and Body Structures Technical Leader/Manager. Jason also gained experience as a consultant and supervisor, working on cost estimates, supplier selection, and cost reduction initiatives. Jason's early career includes roles at Yazaki North America as a Component Engineer. Jason has a strong background in design, release engineering, and technology development, and has taught and led teams in the use of Design for Six Sigma tools and methodologies.

Jason Balzer obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University, which they attended from 1990 to 1995. Jason further pursued their education at the University of Michigan, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering Management from 2000 to 2003.
