Troy Miller has over 32 years of work experience in various engineering and management roles. Troy began their career in 1989 as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Mechanic in the United States Air Force. After leaving the military, they worked as a Production Supervisor at B-Line Systems, Inc., where they supervised a department of 20 employees and ensured compliance with quality standards.
In 1995, Troy joined HI Stat Manufacturing as an Industrial Engineer, where they developed product routings, maintained facility layouts, and completed cost sheets and sales forecasts. Troy later became a Senior Engineer, managing a cross-functional team responsible for sustaining engineering and coordinating six sigma improvement projects.
In 2003, Troy joined Bosch as the Supplier Quality Team Leader, facilitating problem-solving with suppliers, coordinating advanced product quality planning, and managing a team of associates. Troy then moved on to Ingersoll Rand in 2006, starting as a Manufacturing Engineer and later becoming an Operational Excellence Change Agent. In these roles, they implemented lean manufacturing techniques, led improvement events, and ensured strategies and principles were incorporated into the company culture and processes.
Currently, Troy works at Shape Corp. as an Industrial Program Engineer. Their responsibilities include supporting and improving equipment and processes, troubleshooting and problem-solving, and implementing lean manufacturing practices.
Troy Miller obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technology/Technician from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, starting in 1993 and finishing in 1994.
