Cory O'Brien

Cory O'Brien is an experienced narrative designer with a strong background in video game storytelling and dialogue writing. Cory served as Lead Narrative Designer at Beautiful Glitch from September 2019 to October 2020, managing a remote writing team and collaborating with the Creative Director. Subsequent roles include Narrative Designer at Arkane Studios, Senior Narrative Designer at Exploding Kittens, Inc., and currently Senior Narrative Designer at Shapeshifter Games since August 2024, focusing on branching dialogue and narrative flow in AAA games. Cory's work emphasizes creating authentic and diverse characters and consistent game lore. A graduate of California State University, Los Angeles, Cory holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing.
