Leon Fox

Leon Fox has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Leon began their career in 2001 as an IT Administrator at K2 IT Consultancy, where they were responsible for supporting and administering Windows 2000 servers and Lotus Notes Domino for email and database applications. Leon then joined Cass Business School as a Senior Systems Specialist, where they provided 3rd/4th line support and managed systems such as Lotus Notes Domino, Exchange, and Microsoft servers. During their time at the school, they also took on senior responsibilities, including team management, strategy planning, and project delivery.

In 2007, Leon joined Selfridges & Co as a Senior Systems Analyst, where they worked as part of a technical architecture team and provided administration, project support, and 3rd line support for a Wintel environment. Leon supported systems such as IBM Lotus Notes/Domino, IBM xSeries servers, Windows Active Directory, Blackberry Enterprise, and CA Brightstor ARCserve.

From 2007 to 2018, Leon worked at Life IT as a Senior Technical Consultant. Leon led end-to-end consultancy projects for SMB and Enterprise accounts, with responsibilities including solution design, specification, and build of enterprise-class workloads. Leon also advised customers on sizing and platform architecture for Microsoft SQL Server, as well as implemented configuration changes to improve performance. Additionally, they designed and implemented Binary Tree's Active Directory synchronization and migration software for customers transitioning to Exchange/Office 365.

Currently, Leon is at Shaping Cloud, where they started in 2018 as a Technical Architect and progressed to the roles of Consultant, Lead Consultant, and now Chief Technologist. Shaping Cloud is a Microsoft Gold Partner and a leading cloud expert in the UK. Leon's role involves delivering Intelligent Cloud solutions and enabling digital transformation strategies for public sector organizations.

Leon Fox attended the University of Derby from 1997 to 2000, where they earned a BSc degree in Information Technology. Leon also completed their A Levels in Computer Science, Biology, Geography, and General Studies at Newbold Community School. Additionally, they obtained a BSc Hons degree in Information Systems from the University of Derby.
