John Murphy

John Murphy has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. John started their career as a waiter at the Plaza Hotel, where they focused on providing excellent customer service and maintaining composure under pressure. Following this, they interned as a Quality Engineering Intern at Medtronic, where they investigated and resolved problems, ensured compliance with clean room standards, and calibrated equipment. John then worked as an Operator at the KOSTAL Group, where they attached sockets and fans to circuit boards, inspected parts, and met daily targets. At Liebherr Maritime Cranes, they served as a Design Engineer, visiting sites both locally and abroad to aid in crane erection, creating 3D models of crane components, and documenting issues to prevent reoccurrence. Currently, John is a Junior QA Specialist at Shapr3D, where they are likely involved in quality assurance tasks.

John Murphy completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Limerick, which spanned from 2013 to 2017. In 2020, they pursued a short-term course in Graphic Design and Illustration using Adobe Illustrator at eCollege Ireland. Additionally, they obtained certification in Arc, MIG, and Gas Welding from the Limerick Institute of Technology in the academic year 2015 to 2016.
