Rafik Bawa

Rafik Bawa is the Founder of ShareGallery, a new project that allows anyone to make their space shoppable and share in the profits. Prior to this role, they worked at Airbnb as the Deputy General Counsel, Product, where they led a team of 40+ attorneys supporting the company's product, privacy, IP, and marketing initiatives. Rafik also worked closely with the executive team on key product launches. Before Airbnb, Rafik served as the Associate General Counsel at eBay Inc, where they led the Commercial Legal and Verticals Department and provided strategic counsel on various issues for eBay's core North America business. Rafik was also the Senior International Counsel at eBay, where they advised businesses in different geographies and led the launch of sites in new regions. Rafik was involved in significant joint ventures, divestitures, and investments for eBay's online auctions business. Prior to their roles at eBay, Rafik practiced corporate securities law at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and Stikeman Elliott LLP, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private financings, and corporate securities.

Rafik Bawa obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with honors, specializing in Business/Finance, from The University of British Columbia. This achievement took place from 1990 to 1993. Following this, they pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law at Dalhousie University between 1994 and 1997.
