Shaobin du

Shaobin Du has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. Starting in 2000, they worked as a Senior Engineer at Electron Economy before moving on to roles such as Engineer Lead at iPass Inc. and Azaire Networks. In 2006, they became a Principal Technical Staff member at Hyperion Inc. They then transitioned to Oracle in 2007, where they served as a Consulting Member of Technical Staff until 2014. After that, they joined Threatmetrix as the Director of Engineering and led a team responsible for the Open Intel Platform. In 2015, they became the Senior Director of Engineering at Sysomos, where they worked on architecting and developing a Big Data Intelligence Analytics Platform. In 2016, they joined Proofpoint as a Senior Data Architect and in 2018 moved to Futurewei Technologies, Inc. as the Chief Architect in Big Data and Data Analytics. Currently, Shaobin Du is the VP of Engineering at ShareThis, where they oversee data security, management, and storage efficiency, research technological improvements, and ensure project plans and budgets are met.

Shaobin Du pursued a PhD in Physical Chemistry from 1992 to 1994 at Zhejiang University. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1997, Shaobin attended the University of Florida, where they studied Computer & Information Science & Engineering.
