JF Cote

JF Cote is the President and CEO of the company and he is a member of our board. With over 20 years’ experience in business, JF is an experienced leader and a born innovator: co-founder of district m, he is the chief architect of the company’s corporate strategy and provides leadership to sales and partnership initiatives.

Under his leadership, district m has been recognized in Deloitte Fast 50 (Canada) / 500 (USA), and has been selected in the Deloitte Best Managed companies over the last 3 years. Since district m inception, the company has raised $50 million to fuel the growth globally.

JF Cote has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and Arista Emerging Entrepreneur in Canada.

He holds an executive MBA from UQAM and a bachelor’s degree in commerce with a specialization in Finance from University of Ottawa. JF is a CPA by training and serves as a member of multiple boards to support kids in their education and sports activities. JF loves travelling around the world with his wife and 2 kids to learn new culture, discover new experiences and meet people.

Before district m, JF Cote shared his expertise with multiple companies in different industries such as Pratt & Whitney (Aerospace), PricewaterhouseCoopers (Investment Banking) and Yellow Pages (Media), for which he co-founded the digital media division, Mediative.
