Da Deng

Da Deng has extensive work experience as an industrial designer. They have held various roles in different companies, starting in 2006 as a Designer at Sky Mind Co., Ltd. In 2006, they also worked as an Industrial Designer and team leader at MOD3 Cabinet and Home, where they were responsible for product research, development, and project management.

From 2009 to 2011, Da Deng worked as a Teaching/Graduate Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology, assisting with design classes and managing design labs and workshops.

In 2011, they joined Motiv Design as an Industrial Designer, specializing in appliances, hardware, consumer products, and housewares design and development. They also worked as a Senior Industrial Designer at Motiv Design, where they designed and developed new products and product lines for various brands.

In 2014, Da Deng joined Newell Brands as a Senior Industrial Designer, focusing on developing visual brand strategies and new product designs for writing instruments and writing electronics brands such as Paper Mate, Expo, Sharpie, Dymo, and Mr. Sketch.

Currently, Da Deng is working at SharkNinja since 2015, initially starting as a Senior Industrial Designer before progressing to Principal Designer and currently Director of Industrial Design.

Da Deng earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design from Rochester Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial Design from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology from 2002 to 2006. In 2009, Da Deng attended the Danish Institute for Study Abroad, where they studied Furniture Design in Scandinavia. Additionally, they also earned an Adobe Product Expert Certificate in 2005-2006.
