James Hughes

James Hughes currently serves as Engineering Manager at Betfred since April 2024, following a tenure as Engineering Manager at Sharp Gaming from October 2022 to April 2024, where oversight included a team of mobile gaming app developers. Prior to these roles, James held the position of Software Development Manager at ITEL from September 2002 to October 2022, leading an Agile development team focused on a LMS/LXP/customer success platform through Azure DevOps. Additional experience includes serving as a Product Verification Engineer, where responsibilities involved functional testing for BT and Avaya software releases and providing advanced support for phone system specialists, as well as working as a Test Engineer at Bluechip Technology, focusing on functional testing of industrial PCs and mobile phone base stations. James holds an HND in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Wrexham University and completed education at Brynhyfryd School Ruthin.
