Shaila Rao

Shaila Rao has over 30 years of experience in the software engineering and technology industry. Shaila began their career in 1991 as a Project Leader/Senior Software Engineer at Texas Instruments, India. Shaila then moved to Oracle India in 1997 as a Senior Member Technical Staff. In 1999, they joined FatWire Software as a CMS Product Owner and Product Solution Architect. In 2003, they became a Consulting Product Manager at IBM (formerly Trigo). In 2008, they were a Senior CMS Consulting Manager at BlueEgg Communications. In 2009, they were a Consulting Web Content Management System Specialist at Georgetown University. In 2020, they became a Martek Strategist - Digital Transformation at Slalom. In 2022, they became the Director of Software Development and Engineering at Comcast. Most recently in 2023, they took on the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer at ShayTech Inc.

Shaila Rao obtained their Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Mysore between 1986 and 1990. In April 2021, they obtained their Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc.
