Our Foundation Jan Kalyan Upbhokta Samiti (JKUS), a Section 8 not-for-profit organisation established in 1985 to advance the socio-economic empowerment of marginalised communities by raising awareness of rights and facilitating access to education, health, and legal support. Over the past four decades, JKUS has developed a strong grassroots presence and is uniquely led by a collective of committed women leaders who have worked tirelessly to strengthen community resilience and promote gender justice. 

Building on this experience, our team has recently launched our flaglish program - She Power Project, an initiative that connects women thought leaders, social workers, and rural beneficiaries on a single platform to create a technology-enabled ecosystem for women’s safety and empowerment.


We are working towards evolution of women leaders on a grassroot level since last 25yrs to now bring this movement online in the form of ShePower app. The vision of the app is to revolutionise women across the country, specially in our villages, enabling them to realise their true potential and break barriers in every spheres of life.
