Gunter Wehmeyer

Gunter Wehmeyer is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in design innovation, urban development, and leadership within various initiatives. Currently involved with SheFi as a SheFier Cohort 9 Scholar since September 2023, Gunter also co-founded UFƟ Design Collaboratory and Design Factory Manchester, focusing on future ecologies and societal challenges. As a Bio-Leadership Founding Fellow, Gunter contributes to critical conversations around nature-based solutions. Previous ventures include founding Thin Spaces, serving as a Design Researcher at Manchester Metropolitan University, and creative roles at Enginn and THNK. Gunter holds a Ph.D. candidacy in Design-Driven Innovation at Manchester Metropolitan University, alongside credentials in leadership and urban design from Schumacher College, THNK, and the University of Kassel.
