Tom Baird

Tom Baird is currently the Vice President for Global Policy & Advocacy and Corporate Relations Europe at Shell, and serves as a Trustee at the Shell Foundation and a Board Director at Carbonext. Previously, Tom held various roles, including Speechwriter and Communications Specialist at BG Group, where they developed a global sustainability communications strategy, and Senior Communications Adviser at The Commonwealth, managing strategic communications across multiple countries. Tom has also worked as a News Reporter for The Sunday Times and served as a Global Communications and Advocacy Manager at Shell, leading advocacy efforts tied to the company’s gas business. Tom holds a degree in English Literature and Music from Durham University and is currently pursuing a Sustainability Business Management programme at the University of Cambridge.
