Akin Monehin

Akin Monehin has a diverse background in sales and operations management, with significant experience in the aviation and energy sectors. Starting at British Airways in various operational roles, Akin transitioned to Virgin Atlantic Airways, serving as Area Sales Manager and later Regional Sales Manager for Africa. Akin has held pivotal positions at Shell Oil Company, including Corporate Head of Land Logistics and Business Transformation Manager, where responsibilities involved driving transformation programs and managing substantial projects, such as the HI Integrated Gas Infrastructure Project. Currently, Akin serves as a columnist for BusinessDay and Guardian Nigeria, while also engaging in strategic and business planning roles. Akin holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Lagos, an executive education credential in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Dundee, and an MBA in Strategy from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
