Alan Hill

Alan Hill is a Policy and Advocacy Manager with extensive experience in soil and groundwater assessment, remediation, and liability management. They currently manage high-profile soil and groundwater liabilities across Europe at Shell while previously serving as Technical Assurance Focal Point, achieving significant cost savings through risk-based strategies. Alan's earlier roles included Principal Geo-Environmental Consultant at WSP Environmental & Energy and QDS Environmental Ltd, where they specialized in risk assessment and environmental consultancy. They hold a PhD in Organic Geochemistry from the University of Aberdeen and a BSc in Geology from the University of Bristol.
