Floating And Mooring Lead Scotwind Projects

Alex Dawson is a highly experienced professional in the maritime and offshore engineering sector, currently serving as the Floating and Mooring Lead for Scotwind projects at Shell since January 2007. In this role, Alex develops the design, execution, and management of floating wind solutions for the Marram and Campion projects. Additional responsibilities at Shell include supporting the Acorn port development project and leading FPSO initiatives for the Cambo project as a secondee to Siccar Point Energy. Previous positions encompass project engineering roles focusing on LNG regas opportunities, as well as construction project engineering for turret integration on the Stones FPSO. Notably, Alex has also managed significant projects, including the Kulluk repair project in China and the competitive tender bid for the Fram FPSO. Prior to joining Shell, Alex worked as a Naval Architect at James Fisher and Sons plc from January 2004 to December 2006.
