Alex Wetzelaer has extensive experience in the field of geology, particularly in production and structural geology. Wetzelaer held the position of Senior Production Geologist at Norske Shell from 2000 to 2005, focusing on non-operated ventures in the Statfjord and Jotun areas. Prior experience includes roles as Production/Operational Geologist at Qatar General Petroleum Corporation (1985-1987), Production Geologist at Shell U.K. Exploration and Production (1991-1996), and various geological positions at Shell from 1987 to 1991. Additionally, Wetzelaer served as Senior Geointerpreter at BEB (currently EMPG) from 1996 to 2000 and has been a Senior Production/Structural Geologist at Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij since 2010. Wetzelaer studied at RWTH Aachen University, earning a degree in geology with a focus on applied geophysics and petroleum geology.
