Basker Murugappan

Basker Murugappan is a Principal in Low Carbon Fuels, CCS/Geothermal/Hydrogen, Well Integrity, and Completions at Shell, where they have been contributing since 2019. With over 25 years of experience in Production, Completions, and Well Integrity across eight companies, including Amoco, BP, and Shell, Basker has worked in 37 countries on deepwater, land, and offshore operations. They are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Since 2020, Basker has focused on utilizing their expertise to advance greener environmental practices and mentor younger engineers in the oil and gas industry.
