Ben Dewever

Ben Dewever has extensive experience in geoscience, particularly in carbon capture and subsurface analysis within the oil and gas sector. At Shell from March 2016 to January 2021, Ben served as a Senior Production Geologist focusing on Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage, and previously held roles including Subsurface Lead for Albania Development and Senior Carbonate Geologist, managing integrated reservoir studies across various geological settings. Prior to Shell, Ben worked as a Project Geoscientist specializing in carbonates at PanTerra Geoconsultants BV and held positions at Maersk Oil, including Junior Development Geologist and Exploration Geologist. Ben began a career in academia as a PhD student at KU Leuven, earning a PhD in Geology with a focus on fluid flow reconstruction and carbonate sedimentology. Ben holds an MSc in Geoscience from KU Leuven.
