Ben Gowland

Ben Gowland is an internationally experienced environmental leader with over 25 years in various sectors, primarily in energy, working across all six industrialized continents. Ben’s career includes roles such as Marine Environmental Consultant at ERT Scotland and several positions at Shell, including Carbon & Environment Opportunities Manager and Upstream Carbon & Environment Manager. With a strong academic foundation, Ben earned a PhD in Marine Ecotoxicology and a BSc Hons in Marine Zoology from the University of Aberdeen. Ben has also contributed to academia as a Post-Doc Research Scientist at the Scottish Executive Marine Laboratory and has held leadership roles at BMT Cordah.
