Ben Greensmith

Ben Greensmith is currently the Head of Security at Basra Gas Company, where they lead security operations across multiple sites in Iraq and manage the safety and security of personnel, assets, and infrastructure. They are responsible for the security strategy, risk management, and coordination with local authorities through a large team of over 700 staff and contractors. Ben previously served in various security roles within Shell, including Security Strategy and Plans Manager for Shell Companies in Nigeria and Security Manager at Basrah Gas Company. They served in the British Army from 1989 to 2012 and hold a Master of Science in Security and Risk Management from the University of Leicester.
