Bethany Hamilton

Bethany Hamilton is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in machine learning and cognitive models. Currently serving as the CTO & Machine Learning Solutions Architect at Shell since June 2016, Hamilton focuses on developing cognitive models for Brain Computer Interface utilizing Big Data and Deep Learning. Prior to this role, Hamilton was a Machine Learning Scientist at Quantcast from October 2013 to May 2016, where innovative solutions for ad conversion, pricing, fraud detection, and data-driven ad campaign management were implemented, resulting in significant performance and revenue growth. Early career experience includes a Research Intern position in Machine Learning at Siemens, where spatial and temporal clustering techniques were explored, and serving as the Chief Executive Officer at imaginaryou, which partnered with indie artists to utilize smart contracts for digital asset management. Education includes a Master’s degree in Computer Software Engineering from the University of Houston and studies at The Art Institutes.
