Casey O'Brien

Casey O'Brien is an experienced Exploration Geologist currently working at Shell since September 2016, where responsibilities include evaluating hydrocarbon opportunities in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico and delivering technical products such as maps, resource volume estimations, and risk assessments. O'Brien also served as a Specialist Geologist focusing on structural geology and reservoir quality, conducting various analyses to understand reservoir performance. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Bureau of Economic Geology and an internship at ConocoPhillips, where contributions involved identifying geological causes of well-to-well communication and developing workflow tools. O'Brien holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences from Ohio University and a Master of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin.
