Daan Ris

Daan Ris is an experienced professional in the field of engineering and management, currently serving as a Reservoir Engineer at Shell since November 2022. Daan has previously worked as a Production Engineer at Veegeo, focusing on geothermal energy production analysis, well integrity monitoring, and ESP design. Prior roles include serving as a Production Data Analyst at ONE-Dyas, where Daan worked on automating HSE reports, and as an Advisory Board Member at Stichting West. Daan also has a background in leadership as the Managing Director of StuD Studentenuitzendbureau Delft B.V., connecting students with employment opportunities, and as Treasurer for the Delftsche Studenten Rugby-Club. Daan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Earth Sciences and a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Delft University of Technology, alongside a high school education from Stedelijk Gymnasium Haarlem.
