Daan van Wijk

Daan van Wijk is currently an Investment Lead for Low Carbon Fuels at Shell, where they focus on deal structuring and valuation while analyzing market trends to support the energy transition. Previously, Daan held positions as a Project Services Engineer and a Low Carbon Fuels Valuation and Deal Structuring Economist at Shell. They also worked as a Junior Engineer at VERTIDRIVE and Ivy Global.eu, managing teams for risk-based inspections and leading the design of innovative engineering solutions. Daan began their academic journey at Delft University of Technology, where they earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Systems and Control, respectively, while also contributing as a Student Assistant in various courses. In addition to their engineering background, Daan has experience coaching hockey teams, providing leadership and training from 2004 to 2013.
